Katrine H. “Kathy” Bakhtiary

Kathy is a dedicated and experienced attorney with a passion for serving the community and fighting for her clients. Raised in Charles County, Maryland, Kathy pursued her education at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she earned her B.S. in Government and Politics. She then obtained her J.D. from the University of Baltimore in 2010, graduating cum laude.

Kathy began her legal career gaining valuable insights into the judicial system as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Amy J. Bragunier, Circuit Court for Charles County, Maryland. Kathy then joined the State’s Attorney’s Office for Charles County in 2011, where she honed her litigation skills by handling and trying a wide range of cases, from misdemeanors to serious felonies, including special victims crimes.

After seven years of dedicated service in the State’s Attorney’s Office, Kathy entered private practice, continuing to focus on litigation and advocating for justice for her clients.

In January 2024, Kathy brought her experience and expertise to the Law Office of Thomas E. Pyles, P.A., where she continues to provide exceptional legal guidance and representation to her clients.
